When I do my stuff I make sure that everything is prepped good. I then do a complete base coat in FDE and then follow up with the Krylon (patterns). This helps to provide more protection. The good thing is that I can simply touch up with Krylon when needed.

Thanks, and how well does the paint usually hold up? I paint a lot of stuff so I always prep and do all the taping properly... I'm just wondering how well paint would hold up on an item like a rifle.
