If the Japanese would not have bombed Pearl Harbor we never would have dropped two atomic weapons on them.

They started it.

We had to use that level of power to end hostilities in the Pacific because WWII was bankrupting America.

My father went through both Nagasaki and Hiroshima while on leave during the Korean War and told me that at that time they were both still devestated.
