My former Brigade CSM... He definitely had everyone he met believing his story (myself included).
It's really disheartening to remember the talks we would have about what to expect at selection and what the Q course was like.. He would go off on all the amazing things he did while SF or in Force Recon. Alot of junior enlisted looked up to him and had an enormous amount of respect for all that he claimed and absolutely no one doubted it.
Sad thing is he worked directly under the only MOH recipient still on active duty.
