It sounds good on paper, but you have to realize that being able to "hold them accountable" would impossibly tie up the judicial system that's already overloaded. That's true. But, there is professional review of professional standards, not to mention many states either elect or confirm their judges by voting. Judges who let heinous criminals off with a comparative slap on the wrist need to be removed at the earliest chance offered by that state's constitution. We can no longer stand for this. The loss of life, even one, is too much.
