Criteria include violent crime, unemployment, foreclosures and abandoned housing, taxes, commute times, weather, superfund pollution sites, and sports teams (when applicable).
If the list was for North America, Toronto would definately have to be near the top. Violent crimes seem to happen everyday, not too many good paying jobs to be had, land taxes just went up 4% plus a whole bunch of new service fees, the weather is crappy on a good day and the Jays just suck too.

And while the above is bad, what would really launch us to the top can be summarized in two words: THE LEAfS.

I’ve come to a frightening conclusion that I am the decisive element in the classroom. It’s my personal approach that creates the climate. It’s my daily mood that makes the weather. As a teacher, I possess a tremendous power to make a child’s life miserable or joyous. I can be a tool of torture or an instrument of inspiration. I can humiliate or heal. In all situations, it is my response that decides whether a crisis will be escalated or de-escalated and a child humanized or dehumanized.
