Another great book I devoured last night was written by
Dr. Mark Gabriel.
Islam and Terrorism: What the Quran Really Teaches About Christianity, Violence and the Goals of the Islamic Jihad
It's written in a similar fashion that
Center for the Study of Political Islam (CSPI) uses to simplify and explain the totalitarian doctrine of Islam.
What make
Islam and Terrorism a significant contribution to the war of ideas is Mark Gabriel's background. You see, Dr. Mark Gabriel is the nom-de-plum for someone who graduated from
Al-Azhar University in Cairo and then became a professor of Islamic history at that university. He also served as the Imam (spiritual leader) of a mosque in Giza, where the pyramids are located.
For those unfamiliar with Al Azhar University, consider it the "Harvard of Islam."
