IIRC, she did a number with Racquel Welch that was the talk of recess the following day at Ivanhoe Elementary. No, I didn't say anything at all.

While my strongest memory of Cher is the eulogy she gave at Mr. Bono's memorial service, my fondest is of the story she told about a screening of Silkwood (1983). She heard snickers and laughs when her name appeared during the opening credits. By the end of the screening, she said, the snickers and laughs were gone.

That was the last time she would hear anyone laugh about her skills as an actor. At least openly. (If only she had stayed with the acting.)
