N, I'm trying to figure this out myself. I mean at first blush he looks like a common criminal of the terrorist type, a long the likes of Red Brigade, IRA from the 80's. So what is different? Is it that we aren't Italian or British? Is it that we've designated this a war (for us) but a police action for the AQ etc? I don't know, but the rules are are not being applied. Maybe Abdul should be designated a saboteur. But under the rules of war. Does that make him like a spy? I don't know. I'm trying to figure it out.
