Of course the dems are saying that b/c of the timing of the "leak," this is election season bad politics and should be dismissed as such.

How rich is the irony: a guy shrugs "innocently" about his "sloppiness" regarding the mishandling/theft of sensitive material, as if The the security issues surrounding these kinds of documents were new to him - AND HE'S THE FORMER NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISOR!!!!

There are two possible explanations:

1. He's lying, and was trying to hide material from investigators

2. He's such a moron that it was a crime to ever have him as National Security Advisor
