I wonder about phrases like this: "Even worse, he pledged to crack down on the First Amendment for the benefit of NCLR: "They're counting on us to stop the hateful rhetoric filling our airwaves – rhetoric that poisons our political discourse, degrades our democracy, and has no place in this great nation."
I don't see this as a threat to the First Amendment, I see this as a call to civility. BTW does the author have a talk show?
