I got to shoot the heavy, back to back with the Massoud. The Massoud was better!

Of course I'm biased. It ran well but has a problem similar to the AR-10 series, a long recoil impulse which pulls the muzzle of the target and then it takes longer to get back on target. Also it was pretty front heavy, despite having a barrel smaller in diameter (even at the breech) than many 5.56 guns.
We had issues with the stock not wanting to lock into position, my buddy adjusted it for his length of pull, shot it, and the stock collapsed completely, jamming the metal optic body into his forehead. He is not a scar heavy fan now.
It short stroked when the gas setting was on the suppressed setting, but no can attached (this is not a negative, except perhaps in a version that is not specialized, like a sniper rifle)
Rick, I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the heavy as a sniper rifle.
