Key words include “universal” and “consensus.” With “everybody in, nobody out,” social hydraulics will occur. Pull one lever at the top, and everybody beneath it is complicit in the “hard” decisions.

I am wondering if this Frankenstein bill gets passed, and the Dims subsequently lose their majority in one or both houses, can this juggernaut be stopped?
The delay in benefits after the taxes start makes me think that it can, possibly.

TR /nmap,
I really don’t think that it makes ANY difference if the Dims lose the House and / or the Senate in 2010.
By that time, they will have passed this “Frankenstein” bill (or something similar), will have passed
“comprehensive” immigration reform, and
prepared the Census for redistricting. They will allow amnesty for 30+ Million illegal immigrants (who will forever vote Democrat), and establish
60+ SAFE Senate Seats (increasing Blue states that have become more diverse).
Øbama will appoint at least one (1) Justice to a conservative spot on SCOTUS, so we will have a 5-4 in the wrong direction – Goodby Constitution!
Then
in the 2012 election the game is over ---- permanent Majority in both the House and Senate. SCOTUS that is liberal, and (probably) a Democrat President.
