Just came onto this thread.
Attached are pictures of the belt buckle that you seem to be talking about
. I think I got it at Fort Lewis before I retired... but haven't seen them since.
If you do get a handle on the availability of more of these buckles... I'd be interested in getting another one. This one was my favorite... but I decided to stop wearing it because I was afraid of wearing it out
