The rifle is a 1977 Ruger #1. Back then they had adjustable triggers that are as good as most of the new after market triggers. It has been rebarreled twice and is currently in 257 Wby minimum SAAMI with a target leade. Twist is 1-8 to stabilize the heavy 130 grain and 142 grain bullets I shoot. Barrel is 28 inches and I can screw on a brake if I desire but mostly shoot without it. I have two forearms of different configurations and both have pressure points near the front end so tension can be adjusted. Rear stock is a heavily modified Fajen piece of select walnut. A Defensive Edge cheek piece is there for stock weld. Scope is a Night Force 5.5 -22X56mm.

Accuracy is not as good as a well made bolt gun and I do not fully trust it more than 700 yards but I did manage to kill an antelope with it at 1025 yards but it really does not have reliable accuracy that far. About 700 yards is all it is good far if you really want to kill the animal.
