Gee thanks, guys. I am in CharmCity to remove things from my now former boat.. only to have it start raining in earnest at 4am. I should have known you gentlemen would be nice enough to share and send that stuff my way. Small problem.. its rain not snow.
After 8 hours of going up and down a 10 foot ladder. I just gave it up. Still raining, and cold. switched from sandals to Crocs and the winter layer mix. Oh joy... another 4-5 hours and the boat will be stripped. Then I get a 6 or 7 hour drive back to Fay-nam and 3 hours unpacking into son's storage unit. It is amazing how fast one's life can be reduced to a series of garbage bags and rubbermaid totes.
I wouldn't mind the weather so much if it were snow, but cold drizzly just hard enough to be miserable rain is a PIA.
Ended up sleeping on top of the totes wrapped in a down comforter.
I am too old for this crap.
I will be ecstatic when today is over. Correction, when all the stuff is off the boat, and emptied to the storage unit, and the truck returned and I am back in Floriduh.
I will sgive in to sheer happy dance ecstacy. It will be sunny, warm and well, sunny and warm.
