When I left the Air Force for the Army I came in as a Rep-63 for 20th Group. I had WLC in my contract. I had no break in service and my AFSC did not translate to an MOS. After WTC I went to AIT for 11C.

Keep in mind that was two years ago and some things about WTC have changed. However, there were 2 others going through the course that were active duty 18X contracts. I have been told that if there are insufficient slots for WTC or if your follow on training doesn't line up they will send you through BCT.

My .02 Baht, go to basic. The only challenging part about WTC was putting up with supposed adults (other students) acting like children. Basic will give you a much better base to build upon and give you a better understanding of the Army as a system. Besides, after 3 years in the service already you have a leg up, you already know the 2 most important lessons: 1) Be where you're supposed to be when you're supposed to be there. 2) Keep your mouth shut.
