Talking to QPs about the sufferings of POWs in Europe, the little known subject of the 86 day "German Death March" came up. There is very little written information on this forced march. And only one book that Ive been able to find that attempts to cover it in detail- The Eleventh Man, by Robert Honeycutt.

Another reference to it can be found here: I personally had a friend that was one of the "marchers" in this March.
