Interesting read.

In the few years that I taught in Thuringia, FRG I became close friends with a handful of professors who all teach at the Universitat Erfurt. After our many discussions regarding the differences between higher education in Europe and the US I began to hold the opinion that earning a Doctorate over there was a little less complicated than in the U.S. If anyone were going to try and bribe their way into earning a Ph.D. I would have suspected that it would have been here in the good 'ol USA.
