This was in the Fayetteville Observer today.

Special Forces soldier to receive medal posthumously
A staff report

Today, Sgt. James M. Treber will posthumously receive the Soldier's Medal at Fort Bragg for his actions one year ago in Afghanistan.

His widow will receive the medal in a ceremony at the 7th Special Forces Group Rock Garden at 2 p.m.

The Soldier's Medal is awarded for heroism involving risk of life outside of combat.

Treber was assigned to the 1st Battalion of the 7th Special Forces Group.

He was one of three soldiers who drowned after their vehicle rolled into a canal while on patrol. Also killed in the incident were Master Sgt. Shawn E. Simmons and Sgt. 1st Class Jeffrey M. Radamorales.

Brig. Gen. Michael S. Repass, commanding general of U.S. Army Special Forces Command at Fort Bragg, will present the award.
