I augur that in the near future Ms. McKinney will be the subject of litigation at the United States Supreme Court as well as the International Court of Justice at The Hague.
At issue will be a question that will have scholars, lawyers, and jurists who study the law of the sea and the law of land warfare working late into the night.
The question: Can a terrorist organizations and their sponsor nation states pay a ransom to a hostage's home country so that it will take back the hostage?
The case will afford the newly confirmed Associate Justice Sotomayor to demonstrate the wisdom of a Latina. (Prediction: it will be one the rare instances in the coming years when the court votes unanimously.)
Ms. McKinney is an attention whore in search of a reality show.
