So I suited up, boarded the aircraft under his watchful eyes, did a simple two way with a buddy of mine from 14,500' AGL, flew in and made a gentle standing landing in the middle of Eric's square.

He was there to help me carry in the parachute, because, you know, at 56 years old I'm kinda old to be doing that stuff.

Son Tommy took the pictures with his cell phone camera, pretty good quality considering the source.

Those where pretty cool pictures....... Your son has to have been proud of your landing right on target...... Damn good job for a 56 year old..... I made up my mind I'm going to take my 1st free fall on my next 73rd birthday. My wife's a bit upset but I know by then see will accept it...................

I believe that SF is a 'calling' - not too different from the calling missionaries I know received. I knew instantly that it was for me, and that I would do all I could to achieve it. Most others I know in SF experienced something similar. If, as you say, you HAVE searched and read, and you do not KNOW if this is the path for you --- it is not....
