Legalization

The only way to ever get ahead on combatting drugs is to legalize it all and let Phillip Morris, Glaxo Smith Kline and others take over the distribution business.

There is enough profit, 900%, in the chain now to pay the producer double what he makes now, a profit for the legal distribution chain and still sell it to those foolish enough to use at a cost that does not require major criminal activity to support their habits.

Legalization would eventually dry up the money that now funds criminal and terrorist organizations that are now involved in the trade and minimize the corruption.

There is a good book on the subject, "Drugs, Crime and Corruption" by Richard Clutterbuck that is worth reading for those interested. It was still available on Amazon last time I looked.
