Here in California, the DMV vets vanity plates for suggestive meanings. One can also report plates that slip through the process.
Many years ago, I saw one that escaped attention: BENWA
Then there was: MR PLOW
The plates I don't understand are the ones that say the make or model of a vehicle.
People are so status conscious that they want you to make sure you know it was a BMW 740IL that just sped past you at warp 5.
Hopefully, none of these folks work in fields requiring creativity.
