Interesting that there was a an article about him and suspicions going way back the 90s. This article was posted on pownetwork.com from a NY Times piece in 2002:

I hope they nail his butt to the wall and then some. People like him make it increasingly difficult for people to believe the real truth about the real heroes. Skeptism tends to creep in to easily nowadays because of POS's like this guy.
