The rifle she used to shoot the deer is custom built for long range hunting. The cartridge is a massively improved 338 Lapua Magnum necked down to 7 mm with a Fed 215 GM primer and 105 gr of H US869 with a 200 grain HP RBBT bullet built on a J4 jacket. The bullet has a BC of about 0.825 and leaves the barrel at 3350 fps. It is still supersonic and has killing power at 2000 yards. The rifle has a MAC A5 stock, Nesika M single shot action with 20MOA rail, 8-32X-56mm Night force, 34 inch 4 groove Lilja barrel with a 4 slot Defensive Edge brake. Jewell trigger is set a 2#.
What she shoots in F-class is a 40X in 308. It takes 39 MOA to dial up to the 1000 yard target. The elk rifle gets to 1000 yards in 16 MOA. That is why she can place a bullet perfectly on a deer at 700 yards- it is just so much easier with a fast flat shooting rifle at 700 yards on a deer than with a slow rainbow arc 308 at 1000 yards on the X ring.
