Devil's Advocate
I am going to play devil's advocate for a minute. I wholeheartedly agree that Obama is all about wealth redistribution, no question. But while watching the video it struck me that there were places in which it was obviously cut. It was not a full interview, only certain parts were included.
Now given that we all had a "cow" when we discovered that the Sarah Palin interview with Charlie Gibson had been doctored, or edited, I think it would be disingenuous of us to not cry foul on this video.
Maybe it was cut to get rid of all the stuff that didn't concern wealth redistribution. But seeing as how I haven't seen or heard the whole interview, it could be argued it was cut, so that certain aspect are taken out of context.
To me this is why, in some respects the Republican party has lost some of its base. We are willing to cry foul when it is someone of another party doing something we find to be dishonorable, but when someone of our own party does it, some look the other way.
Maybe the edited portions have no bearing on the interview, but when it has obviously been edited, those on the opposing side now have ammunition to state that the republicans took something out of context. If it wasn't out of context, post the entire interview, and allow those of us willing to take the time to research to come to our own conclusions.
