Ten years ago, when the Boy Scouts were beginning their new co-ed, Venturing program, I had occasion to be the Crew Advisor for 7 girls and 6 boys. We spent a long weekend at Hunter Liggitt Army Base doing all sorts of training.
On our way to the handgun range, I was driving my Suburban with all 7 girls in it. The girls were finishing their cereal when I passed a dead rabbit in the middle of the road. All of a sudden Liz yelled for me to stop the car. I applied the brakes and all 7 girls got out and walked to the rabbit. They were joined by 5 boys and they placed a box of TRIX cereal next to the rabbit. They spent the next ten minutes photographing themselves, the rabbit and the TRIX package. The photographs were prominent on the display board that highlighted our weekend activities. The caption on the photos was "TRIX are for kids, not for dead rabbits".
