My name is William. I'm 23, from Texas, and have an interest in joining the Army/SF through the 18x pipeline.
I will sign up in the summer of 2009, after my obligations to family business this year, and then an extended stay with my fiance' in Germany and Italy early next year.
I've been cruising this forum for quite some time; reading, reading, and then reading some more. I am grateful for this site, the professionals running it, and all of those who provide input. Thank you.
My plan is---I will continue to read and train. I'm physically fit and promptly attained a college degree after highschool.
College did not challenge me. Working in the constuction/materials business is not challenging me today. I suppose they don't mean enough on a larger scale.
I've had an interest in the military my entire life. I'm an avid hunter and outdoorsman. I am passionate about life and noticing right and wrong. I wake up and would rather shoot silhouette targets from a hill than sit at a desk or run equipment(I've called in sick to do so). I study languages, cultures, history and weapons as a hobby. I woke up. I realized what I should be doing.
I have a need to be around people who value wisdom/knowledge, shun ignorance/stupidity, and of course, love weapons.
This post establishes who I am and what I'm about. A real pleasure to be in your company on this forum.
