Well, We just did the storm shutters, most are the accordion type, w/some panels on the small windows.

sure gets dark in here..

Finished the patio, dock, car port, filled up the car & truck, and a fresh supply of gas for the generator. Groceries & drinking supplies topped off, I hope.

All the tool batteries charged, emergency tool up stairs.

Only thing to do is pick up mom and button-up her place.

And the Touristas have been told to leave, Muy Pronto, Thank you very much..

We have been lucky, sence 1995, we have had 31 near or small storms and only two good storms, Georges in 98 and wussie Wilma in 05. Katrina ran only 30 miles North of us but was a just TS.. Lots of wind & rain..

A good storm is when our yard disappears??

Georges pushed 15 inches of water up the wall inside our enclosure. We didn't see the yard for 15 hours.

Wilma pushed 26 inches, but the water rose & fell in less than 4 hours.

Because we had the yard filled some before construction,, the dock surface, which at normal hi-tide is 30 inches above the water line,, was under four(4) foot of water during Wilma..

Looks like the track has moved to the West,, into the Tortuga's, that means we get the windward side like we did in Georges,, BUT they still are forecasting a TS (under 74 mph)..

Opps,, looks like we ran out of Limes..

NOT,, just joking,, Dinner calls..
