You're right--it was Valencourt. He 'chatted' with me a few times as I was an "Acting Jack' SGT as 3rd squad leader. Valencourt wasn't too bad and neither was Olivares; they gave good advice and took more of a mentoring stance with us. But the 'Hunter' ( ) was the one to avoid; his sole mission seemed to be to see how many of us he could get to DFR.

SSG Dave Nickerson, an 05B from the 6th SFG and Son Tay Raider, was our PltSgt until he was dropped...as were MANY others. CRS who replaced him. We graduated 12 of the several hundred who started the various phases of the SF Med course. Sometimes I sit and think about it all and ponder how I made it through and so many didn't. Kismet?
