I was at a social-worker(y) seminar not to long ago and we were listening to a woman speaking on racial acceptance or somesuch something. She kept using the terms "African-American" for the black folks and "Euro-American" for the white folks in the room. It torqued me. I have a good friend who was born and raised in Zimbabwe (and holds the passport and everything) and is whiter than I am with flaming red hair and she clearly would have been labeled "Euro-American" by this woman.

I was wishing beyond wishing that she was in that room. That would have been good times.

People (liberals especially) only like applying labels when they fit their agenda. Obama is case in point. It's also why people like Condi Rice never get acknowledged for their color OR gender.
