Looking for some pointers from someone tech smart...
I'm stuck with a CAT 5 cable to get online...my wireless is broke.
Weird facts that confuse the issue:
- Our nanny has a wireless laptop that works off the same router...no issues.
- Our desktop runs off the router via cat 5 cable...no issues.
- Service repair guy just tested router and said there's no issues.
- Service repair guy said we should be able to run 4 computers off the router before one gets bumped off.
- My laptop runs off the cat 5 no issues.
- My laptop will "pick up" wireless networks. Even lists them as being available/connected.
- Here's the issue: When I click on Internet Explorer, it comes up as unable to connect.
- Asked geek Squad for advice: they said it could be spyware, coul be issue with Norton.
- Just added Web Root Spy Sweeper and removed 45 spy cookies.
- Still no joy.
Any ideas??
