Imagine what sort of alternative fuel systems all those guys with the 500lb heads at NASA and other associated engineering corporations could come up with if we chose NOT to lob billion-dollar chunks of technology into the abyss...

We might even disconnect the foreign oil IV-tube.

I do like the "Hillary to MARS" campaign though....maybe you could convert the Capital building into a Mars-lander????
