Former TXARNG Medic

Greetings Quiet Professionals,

First of all, thank you for this site and the wealth of information that has been contributed. I feel fortunate to have found y'all.

I'm a former TX Army National Guard Medic. I ran with the FiST team 1/133rd Field Artillery 1996-2002. I've recently become interested in getting back into the service and have started the process of a direct commission as a Registered Nurse. I've chosen to go with the Reserves for now for several reasons, but will probably switch back to the Guard in a couple of years. I always dreamed of becoming a Ranger or SF when I was younger, 18 or so. I just never thought it was within my reach for some reason or another. It was probably just lack of confidence in myself. That has changed as I have grown older, (29 yrs old now). I recently learned of the new TX SF group and tryouts. I immediately became very interested in SF again and have been getting back into shape to prepare for the tryouts. I'm also reading my new copy of "Get Selected for Special Forces" by Major Joe Martin. What a great book! I've been reading lots of good info on this site and will continue to do so.

Thanks again for your site and your knowledge,

Doc Reeves
