My name is Ryan, I'm 28, and originally from Lakeland, FL. My wife and I are currently living near Fort Gordon, GA. She is an active duty Army Psychologist in the Medical Service Corps. I served in the Marine Corps from 98-03, first as an aircraft mechanic and then moved on to embassy security. In that job I went to Karachi, Pakistan and Santiago, Chile.

After getting out of the Marines my plan was to go to a police academy and gain employment with a local dept. I changed my mind after going to the orientation. After a year of trying to figure out what I wanted to do I decided to take job with DynCorp in Iraq doing personal protection for the State Dept. I did that for a little more than a year. I enjoyed the work and the guys I worked with. There were many former Rangers and SF guys on my team and they were the go to guys for tactical questions. I came back to the states for good in mid 2006 and decided to attend a police academy in FL. I finished that and began the application phase when my wife found out that Army had accepted her and we'd be moving to GA.

Since I've been here I've been knocking out my college classes and recently took a security job on base that extends my TS/SCI for five more years. I've got 88 credits right now.

My wife recently visited the SF school to see if her and the other psychologists from Ft. Gordon and Walter Reed would be interested in applying to be a SF/SERE psychologist. She wasn't interested when she left but once she got there and saw the atmosphere she changed her mind. She got to go through half of the Nasty Nick and the HALO wind tunnel. She submitted a packet and hopes to hear something in the next month.

So that is why I'm on this site. To find out more information on SF for her and possibly myself. I haven't mentioned to her that her trip has sparked an interest for me, yet.
