Been here 10 years and I can not vote here and I am Legal......
Due to Federal law, when you get a license, you are automatically registered to vote. IIRC, it is illegal for them to ask if you are here legally.

At the same time, you can register to vote and you are not required to show ID when you go to the polls (except an a few states).

The system is currently designed for fraud. Unless you were registered in multiple places as a Republican, no one is going to ask why there are 14 Jose Garcia's registered to vote in 9 different precincts, but no SSNs or tax records, and there is no requirement for them to show ID, prove they are US citizens, or for the authorities to check to see if you are.

If anyone asks, the ACLU will fight the case till you are a little old illegal.

If you want to get a good look at the ludicrousness of our policies, see what Mexico allows LEGAL aliens to do (or not do), and how they treat illegals coming into their country.
