A buddy of mine rides a bike with Ivan.
He puts him on the back of a tandem, and makes him the pusher. He said that Ivan never quits, and asked the other day when he could drive. According to the friend, the best thing is that Ivan pedals strongly enough to carry him as well, so he can take breaks whenever he wants. 
They did a ride/run last year, I think from Atlanta to Tampa, where Ivan met ADM Olsen.
Good man, has a lot of heart.
