Jonny Lang - anything. For starters, try the songs "Give Me Up Again" and "Red Light" from the "Long Time Coming" CD. He is a young guy with a old blues voice. Really amazing.
Also, if you've seen the movie "Lord of War" with Nicholas Cage, the entire soundtrack is great. It's an original composition.
Additionally, try Citizen Cope, and (I saw this earlier, but I definitely second it) Ray LaMontagne. One of the most original vocalists alive. Try the song "Trouble" and his cover of Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy." Both Ray LaMontagne and Damien Rice are good "gettin' it on" music.
