I've been checking out the sight for a few weeks. I appreciate the straightforward information. No prior service for me but that will change when I earn my degree in december '08.
When I was a kid my sister dated a Special Forces Soldier and he made quite an impression on me. He was knowledgeable about nearly every topic and polite and took the time to encourage me when he did not need too. I went into business for myself right out of high school and I have always looked back at that decision with something close to regret.
I feel for some of the non prior guys on here that are wanna be's or never was's, it eats away at you. My plan is to give it my all in a few months (whether its 18x or OCS or thru the NG, i don't yet know, but this site really helps with that). I havent yet had a question that wasn't answered on the site or by an email to my recruiter.
