Pliers/wire cutter, knife (clip and serrated sheepsfoot), scissors, file, saw (metal and wood), medium screwdriver, #2 Phillips screwdriver, can opener, glasses screwdriver, bottle opener, awl/punch, 1/4" driver, magnifying glass, flashlight, toothpick, tweezers, corkscrew, pen.
One of the several flat screwdriver blades could probably be DXed, that is about it. Several of the others are limited use, but when you really need a bottle opener, glasses screwdriver, or corkscrew, there are not too many substitutes in the tool.
I think the New Wave makes a pretty good attempt to define the perfect multi-tool, particularly with the bit packs, since many of the missing items can be put into the pouch.
