OK - That makes a little more sense. I hope the USMC is more lenient about "excess property" than they used to be. A lot of what you've listed are expendables - not worth hoarding in CONUS and usually available OCONUS (the locals have to build stuff too). If the local infrastructure exists it makes a lot more sense to carry a rucksack of cash than it does to waste pallet space and transport cost/effort on stuff you can buy on the local economy. Concentrate on tools, particularly power tools (and ways to secure them). That's what's hard to get downrange. The right tools make you more efficient. You (and your team members) have more important things to do with your time. Basic handtools are a dime a dozen in most places. Labor is cheap, they can afford the extra effort.
