Hello all,

My name is Chris, and I'm a Cadet (Cadouche, Cadidiot, Cadot) at the University of Illinois. A few months in to my Freshman year as a cadet, I realized that I wanted a career in the Army, and wanted as much training as I could get. So, I joined the National Guard as an 11B. I spent a little under 2 years as a PFC in my unit before I gained my contracted Cadet status, so now I wear the dot and get to work with the leadership in planning and conducting training.

My first choice of branch is Infantry, and I'm confident the accessions gods will see that I get my crossed rifles (again). Right now, I'm training with a few of my friends to do the Bataan Memorial Death March in the Heavy Military grouping. I came upon this site while looking for boot reviews. In any case, I'm grateful for the information you all provide. As far as a possible career in the Special Forces, I realize that the possibility of going to SFAS is several years away, so I'm more focused on honing my small-unit tactics and leadership skills. At the same time, I'm studying up so that if I do decide to try out, I'll be able to do so with a good skill set.
