All of you who serve have made noble sacrifices to do so.
Some have made the ultimate sacrifice.
Such sacrifice must be honored by the beneficiaries.
Those in the media who would cast the best among us as victims, rather than heroes, do so for one reason: envy.
They envy the honor and respect earned, and seek to destroy it.
Furthermore, by labeling (or libeling) the valiant as victims, they can present themselves to the masses as heroes championing the cause of our troops.
This attempt to steal honor is truly saddening.
All who serve bear this additional burden.
The stoic manner in which it is borne is further testament to the valiance and nobility of the American men and women in uniform.
For my part, not having served, I humbly offer a word of thanks for your service.
