Hello, Buzz here. I am a medical student currently in the process of contracting for a Navy scholarship, and I am interested in eventually serving a tour with SF medicine. I realize that SF doctors aren't actually SF like medical sergents, but only support staff, so I won't be around this site for very long. However the field of SF MDs is so obscure that I'm having a hard time figuring out what I need to do to even apply, what residencies are required, etc. Your standard military MD doesn't seem to know anything about the field other than that it exists. I'm hoping that some of the more experienced medical personel on this site could give me some resources about how to make myself a good candidiate and how to apply.
