Heh, reminds me of when Discovery's Planet Earth first came out and YouTube took down all the full length episodes, yet it wasn't available to buy yet from the Discovery store either.
The Dave: I believe this is a new documentary that aired for the first time near the end of May of this year. I remember seeing it advertised on the Science channel and being frustrated because my Satellite package only offers NGC channel with the super-premium-deluxe option, heh.
I am fairly sure the one that you are referring to is "National Geographic: Inside Special Forces" which I see on Amazon that was made in 2004. I believe that one is a more of a documentary on the unit, whereas this one tells the events of a 10-day mission in the rock pile.
From the NGC site:
"Inside the Green Berets [TV-14 VL]
Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at 10P
In a remote outpost in south-central Afghanistan, a group of Americans stand in the breach between the rule of law and the rule of terror. They are Green Berets, part of an elite division of the U.S. Army Special Forces, charged with protecting local civilians from the wrath of the Taliban. For this film, the Pentagon waived their 48-hour limitation on embedded media and allowed NGC cameras to chronicle the lives of these war-hardened Americans for 10 days. "
