I noticed on the list of entries they did not list Blanton's, a single barrel bourbon made in Kentucky. Blanton's has been banned from most of the whiskey symposiums in the mid-west because it's taken most of the prizes. That pissed off the guys at Maker's Mark (which I live 20 minutes from, BTW) and Jim Beam (which I live 35 minutes from).
Kentucky is a kick ass place to live if you dig bourbon and whiskey. Part of the reason is because KY is such a friggin hole that you pretty much have to be sauced to tolerate it over an extended period of time.
