Short Bio for Tegboarder

Good Evening Gentlemen,

In 2004 I decided to join AFROTC in my second year at CU Boulder. While it was something I enjoyed, one day when it was time to “leave the nest” I jumped out, realized I couldn’t fly, and when I hit the ground I threw on combat boots and marched myself over to the green side of the ROTC offices. From 2005-2006 I learned everything I could about being an officer but in 2006 it started to become clear that the classroom was not what I was best at and a life as an Infantry Officer seemed like only a dream. I made the decision to leave ROTC and enlist. Word traveled fast in the small battalion and on the advice of Captain ***, Captain *****, and SGT ********** I began to look into the 19th Group as a place I could live out my life.

In April 2006 I contracted with the ARNG as an 18x and promptly left for BCT in May 2006. I returned in Aug 2006 and am scheduled to ship for AIT, Airborne, and the pipeline on 24JUL07. Currently I am working on some college credits and planning on completing my BA in political science after returning from training.

P.S. If I ever complain about not being able to get my ACUs clean from the field, blame it on the Air Force.

Even with an edit, it's pretty easy to understand why Tegboarder was ill-suited for the academic life. Good luck with the 18x route; you're going to need it if you don't improve your communications skills and ATD. Peregrino

Edit: I think I picked up those pieces I left last time.
