Introduction

Hello,

I'm a 21 year old 4th year college student at The Ohio State University (my poor bucks can't get it done in the finals, I know), just lurking around these forums among others obtaining all of the usefull information I can to further a life long dream. My end goal is to be a soldier in the special operations community, hopefully in the near future

I'm an avid reader of almost anything regarding history or the military. In the past year I've consumed no less than 35 (I'm sure the count is well over 35, though I don't leep a list) books on Iraq, Afghanistan, Insurgency and other books with similiar subjects. I've already plowed through Warrior-Mentor's book (thank you, well written and great advice) I love the outdoors, having grown up in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Southern Ohio, and try to get down around home as much as possible to tear up the trails on foot or bike.

My Grandfather recently underwent a valve replacement in his heart last year (June 2006) and revealed some personal stuff he'd been keeping under wraps for the past 50 years or so, mostly his military time. My profile explains a little more, and I'm curious as to if anyone has something more specific to some of the questions I have about that time. (Sorry for my lack of information in this post, feel free to Private Message me for further details if you may be able to help, thank you in advance)
