I'm a 45 year old cop in the Dallas area of Texas. I spent 4 years in the Army (peacetime), many years ago (aircraft hydraulics repair and EOD). My father is a retired Air Force pilot, shot down and successfully recovered in Vietnam. My son (18C) will be graduating next week from the pipeline (4/12 and 4/13). It's taken him 2 1/2 years from the beginning of his 18x enlistment, partly due to a torn ACL his first time through the 18C portion of the school.
I've been doing alot of reading on this sight for the past month or so, and would like to thank all who have contributed here. I would also like to thank all of the Quiet Professionals here for their dedication and service. For those at Ft Bragg that are interested, it would be a priviledge and an honor to meet you (and buy dinner- if bribery is allowed).
We are really looking forward to the trip to Bragg and the graduation.
