Greetings from Salt Lake City
Hello Professional Soldiers...
A little about myself off the bat:
My name is Brandon but I go by DJ (retired club Dj) or Hawk. (Call Sign given to me at OPSGEAR) I live in Salt Lake City, Ut. and I am 29 almost 30. I have a girlfriend of almost 5 years now and a daughter who will turn 7 in June.
I have no previous Military Experience however I am very fascinated by everything Military. I’m an avid reader (just started) of Military books; in fact I just finished Roughneck Nine-One. Along with SOG (got an Autograph from Sergeant Mark Kinsler) and a few other Special Forces books. I am currently reading Hunting Down Saddam by Robin Moore along with Special Forces A Guided Tour of U.S. Army Special Forces by Tom Clancy and John Gresham.
I have worked with a few prior Military personal at OPSGEAR where I was part of the Force-on-force OPFOR Team. There I worked with prior AF SpecOps, 19SFG, and 82nd Airborne. Along with a LAPD Veteran.
I have a vast amount of respect and awe for all of you who serve this country and I truly am thankful for each and every one of you. And I must say that my time spent at OPSGEAR allowed me to see part of the Warrior Culture first hand.
I came across this site after a friend of mine posted the "Somewhere a True Believer is training to kill you." quote on another forum we both belong to. And he posted to site from which he got this powerful and motivational quote. I spent a few days as a guest looking around and not being able to get very far thus I was compelled to join the boards about 5 days ago and have just now gained the courage to post my intro.
Thank you Quiet Professionals for having me, Thank you for fighting for me, Thank you!
